Sailing Announces End of Season Awards

HANOVER, N.H. – At the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, the sailing program announced their annual end of season awards, recognizing eight student athletes. Below is a full list of the award winners with a description of each award.

Larry Conover '53 Trophy – Sarah Young '25
Awarded annually to the sailor who best exemplifies Larry's spirit of good sportsmanship, good fellowship, competitive excellence, and interest in sailing as a means of recreational enjoyment.

Jennifer Crary '88 Trophy – Reese Bragg '25
Given to the sailor who reflects fun and good sportsmanship while displaying excellence in crewing.

Brian Klinger '62 Trophy – Will Michels '25 and Reese Bragg '25
Awarded annually to the sailor who reflects fun and good sportsmanship while displaying excellence in crewing.

Yachtsman Award – Sudi Zhao '26
Awarded annually to the member of DCYC for their efforts to maintain the fleet, the boathouse, and its members.

Founder's Trophy – Bella Casaretto '26 and Faye Benjamin '25
Awarded annually to the Dartmouth sailor who has shown the greatest improvement over the course of the year.

Unsung Hero – Will Eggena '27
Awarded annually to the Dartmouth sailor who has mead great contributions to the team that have gone unrecognized.
