HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's lacrosse team was recognized for its success in the classroom on Tuesday, garnering the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team Academic Award, with five garnering Scholar Al-America honors.
Â
The five individual honorees were:
Joe Azelby,
Nate Davis,
Colin McGill,
Mason Morel and
Griffin O'Neil. The Big Green's five honorees are the third most in the Ivy League.
Â
The team award is presented to any program with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, of which Dartmouth men's lacrosse exceeded with ease. Among multiple criteria, a Scholar All-American must have a senior year academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, along with being an All-American, member of a North/South team or an outstanding All-League or Conference Player.
Â
The Big Green wrapped up their season with an 8-5 record, marking their most wins since 2006. With Ivy League victories over Penn and Brown, it's also the first time they've had multiple Ivy wins since 2010.
