HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth men's lacrosse senior attackman
Thomas Power picked up another preseason honor on Wednesday as he was named a Nike Lacrosse honorable mention All-American, as announced by Inside Lacrosse. This comes after earning the same honor from USA Lacrosse Magazine last week.
After last season, Power was named a USA Lacrosse Magazine honorable mention All-American while earning second team All-Ivy honors, along with NEILA All-New England.
Power ended his junior campaign by leading the Big Green in assists (28) and points (54) while finishing second in goals (26). He finished 14th nationally in assists per game (2.15) and 20th in points per contest (4.15) last year, while starting all 13 games. Power became the first Dartmouth player with 50 points since Ari Sussman in 2007. Power had at least one point in every game, with four or more points in seven contests while adding 21 groundballs. He became the first Dartmouth attackman named All-Ivy since 2012 and first to earn All-America honors since 2008.
Power is a Colorado College transfer where he was named a USILA honorable mention All-American as a sophomore.
The Big Green open the season on Feb. 15 at Boston University. Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
