Men's ice hockey is coming off one of its best seasons in program history, winning the ECAC Championship for the first time with a 2-1 overtime victory over Princeton in the championship game. As of the Oct. 12 national polls, Dartmouth is ranked 10th in both USCHO.com and USA Hockey. Dartmouth was picked second in the ECAC Preseason Poll, and
Hayden Stavroff,
Hank Cleaves, and
Emmett Croteau were named to the All-ECAC Preseason Team. A 16-1-2 home record last season carried the team to 23 wins overall, a program record.
Men's basketball enters the season under new leadership after
Brett MacConnell was named head coach in March. MacConnell joined the Stanford men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2025, following 12 seasons at Princeton. His staff will feature assistant coaches
Nick Nichay,
Amir Bell, and
Eamonn Kearney, with Bill Courtey, director of basketball operations, rounding out the group. All are entering their first season with the Big Green. Dartmouth will face Stonehill for the first time in program history and will renew its rivalry with Harvard in a series that dates to 1901. Dartmouth holds an all-time record of 108-97 against Harvard.
