TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Competition at the 2026 Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (ICSA) Women's Fleet Race National Championship began on Friday, as the Big Green sit in fifth place of the Eastern Division through one day of sailing.
Dartmouth posted 45 A Division points and 19 B Division points, second best of the field, to sit in fifth place with 64 total points.
The Big Green's A Division had four top ten finishes in their six races, including two third place finishes in their first and third races for their best finish of the day.
The B Division earned a top five finishing position in each of their six races, posting the second-best score through the first day of racing. The Big Green earned four third-place finishes, a fifth-place finish, and a second place finish, their best finish of the day, in their second race.
Dartmouth's 64 total points is good for fifth place, as the Big Green sit just two points out of fourth place and seven points off the podium. The semifinals will continue on Saturday, as the top eight teams at the end of semifinal racing will advance to the championship with the top eight teams from the Western Semifinal.
