SENIOR (2020-21)
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
JUNIOR (2019-20)
Competed in the first two fall tournaments but was forced to withdraw from the Cornell Invitational after the first round of play … managed to come back and tee it up for the home invitational the following weekend … did not play in the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SOPHOMORE (2018-19)
Missed the fall season with an injury … returned in solid fashion, finishing among the top quarter of the 120 entrants at the Furman Invitational with a 6-over 219 as Dartmouth took ninth in the 21-team field … won his match-play round against Brown with a commanding 5 and 4 victory, then shot even part the next day to tie for second at the BCD Invitational … wrapped up the year by tying for 24th at the Ivy League Championship.
FRESHMAN (2017-18)
Competed in all nine tournaments for the Big Green as a rookie … third on the squad with a stroke average of 74.92 … tied for the team’s low score in the first tournament of the season, finishing 10th with a 1-over 214 at the Cornell Invitational … his 68 (-3) in the final round turned out to be his best of the year … next outing tied for the Big Green’s low score again in 15th at the home Quechee Intercollegiate … paced Dartmouth in first spring tournament, tying for 22nd out of 89 at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate … tied for 27th at his first Ivy League Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year letterman at St. John’s Prep … won the New England Amateur in 2016 by carding a record-low 7-under 273, capping the tournament with a 67-65 on the 36-hole final day … considered Stanford, Rutgers, Colgate, Columbia and Army West Point before choosing Dartmouth.
PERSONAL
Born on Jan. 16, 1998 … son of James and Kathi Turner has a brother and sister … younger brother, Mark ’22, is also a member of the Big Green golf team … father played hockey at Harvard, and mother was a track athlete for the Crimson in the early ’80s … uncle Mark Ardagna ’83 was a member of the Dartmouth hockey team … grandfather, John Turner, was a hockey player at Providence … made an appearance on the Golf Channel when he was 13 after acing a 240-yard par-3 hole twice in one summer.
