SENIOR (2021-22)
Played in 10 tournaments and finished his senior season with a stroke average of 75.00… closed out the 2021-22 season with three-straight top-25 finishes at the Princeton Invitational, Yale Invitational and Ivy League Championship… finished 27th overall in a field of 120 at the Battle at Rum Pointe event… tied Jason Liu for a season-best round with a 68 in the second round of the Princeton Invitational.
JUNIOR (2020-21)
No season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SOPHOMORE (2019-20)
Recorded the third-best stroke average on the team (74.91), improving by three full strokes from his rookie season … had two top-20 finishes in the first two fall tournaments, starting with the Cornell Invitational with 11 birdies to card a 5-over 218, tying for 17th out of 89 golfers … finished the Dartmouth Invitational tied with teammate Mark Turner for 20th out of 74 with the best score of his career at 1-over par … led his teammates at the challenging Wexford Plantation Invitational to start the spring, registering a 14-over 230 … season abruptly ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
FRESHMAN (2018-19)
Competed in five tournaments during his rookie campaign … first official competition as a Big Green golfer took place at the Cornell Invitational where he tied for 43rd out of 81, helping Dartmouth tie for second … played particularly well in his final outing, carding a 2-over 74 in the single-round showdown with Brown and Cornell, tying for fourth of 17.
HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year letterman on the golf team at Uppingham School … also played field hockey and squash as a junior and senior … captained the golf and squash teams in his final year … led his team to the Independent School Golf Association national finals as a senior, plus was a finalist for the Daily Telegraph Championship … also finished sixth in the Faldo Series England Championship as well as the top 10 at the IMG Florida Challenge and Midland Youth Championship … Luffenham Heath Club champion in 2016-17 and Seacraft Club champion the year prior.
PERSONAL
Born on Oct. 4, 1999 … son of Bruce and Rachel Petrie has a twin brother, George … father was a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1966 and captained of the men's soccer freshman team before earning three varsity letters … grandfather, James Petrie, was a member of the Dartmouth Class of 1933 … interests include the Combined Cadets Force and watching NFL, particularly the Indianapolis Colts.
