SENIOR (2024)
Competed in the slalom at the NCAA Championship, placing 17th overall ... Finished seventh overall in the slalom at the home event to help the Big Green to a second place finish overall ... Also finished in the top ten at the Harvard Carnival.
JUNIOR (2023)
Named to USCSA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team for the second time … one of Dartmouth’s most consistent performers in the giant slalom all year … placed among the top 10 in each of his first five GS races, scoring points for the Big Green each time … collected first career podium at Harvard by taking third in the GS … also scored points twice in the slalom, including his best finish at Williams where he took 11th.
SOPHOMORE (2022)
Skied in the first three carnivals of the season … scored points for the Big Green in the giant slalom at Colby, and again the following week at St. Michael’s with his best finish of the year, 20th in the slalom.
FRESHMAN (2021)
USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team … season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played soccer at Green Mountain Valley School and earned Division 1 All-State honors as a senior.
PERSONAL
Full name is Max Andrew Martin … born on June 28, 2000 in Boston … son of Christopher and Hope Martin has one sister … both parents are members of the Dartmouth Class of 1992, and his father was a three-time All-American alpine skier for the Big Green … also has an aunt and uncle from the Class of 1996, and a grandfather, Richard Worrell, who graduated in 1956 … planning on majoring in economics to pursue a business career … enjoys hiking, chess and politics … lived in Norway for two years.
