Q & A with Greg Zales
Why Dartmouth?
Dartmouth's outstanding academics and nurturing community were what really attracted me to the school. So far it has proven to be everything that I had hoped for my college experience.
How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I have been rowing since 8th grade. In high school I rowed for Saugatuck Rowing Club in Westport, Connecticut. My brother rowed before me and my dad was a coxswain here (Class of ‘81 Frosh Lights). They both inspired my interest in rowing.
Have you won any awards?
In rowing I was recognized by my club and was named 2012 Male Athlete of the Year and also was selected as a member of the All-Black Club. Academically, I was awarded National Merit Finalist and Congressional Award Bronze Medalist.
