Why Dartmouth?
The first time I came to Dartmouth was for my mom's 25th class reunion during my sophomore year of high school. I loved the campus but wasn't really thinking about where I wanted to go to college yet. Then I came to revisit campus during my senior year to make my final decision and absolutely loved it. The campus is gorgeous, the student body is very close-knit, and Dartmouth offers so many opportunities to explore, both in Hanover and around the world. I talked to several current students and alumni, and they all convinced me that there is nowhere else I would rather be!
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I walked on to the team, so this is my first year of rowing. Coming from Colorado, I never had the opportunity to row before college. My mom rowed at Dartmouth, so when I got here and found out that I could walk on to the team, I decided to try it and fell in love with it. My teammates were amazing and welcomed me onto the team °© I haven't looked back once.
What extra curricular activities are you involved with on campus?
I am in the Dartmouth Wind Symphony and a ski instructor through the PE program.
What are your future plans, if any?
Right now, I am a music major and a pre-med student. After Dartmouth, I am planning on going to med school for either pediatrics or surgery. I also want to take time to travel around the world, whether performing, teaching, working, or just exploring °© possible ideas include backpacking through Europe, traveling with Up With People, or working with Doctors Without Borders.
