Q&A with Sarah Darwin
Why Dartmouth?
I was drawn to Dartmouth because of its community, rich history, and proximity to nature. Dartmouth combined everything I was looking for in a college, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to attend.
How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I started rowing when I was a junior in high school. I actually grew up swimming year-round, but once I realized that I no longer loved swimming, I wanted to try something new. After going to one rowing practice, I took a leap of faith, joined the local club program, and have been hooked ever since!
What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
I'm related to Charles Darwin.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I am a First Year Peer Mentor and a member of Aspire, a group that works with kids from the Upper Valley who fall on the autism spectrum.
What are your future plans, if any?
I will most likely major in either engineering or physics and then go from there.
