Vikram Malhotra joined Dartmouth Athletics as the Douglas A. Donahue Jr. 1973 Head Coach of Men's and Women's Squash ahead of the 2021-22 season. He will coach the Big Green for his fifth season in 2025-26.

Under Malhotra, both the men's and women's squash teams qualified for the College Squash Association Tournament in 2024, a new format that welcomed the top-12 teams in the country.

Malhotra comes to Dartmouth from the Bronxville Field Club (BFC) in Mount Vernon, N.Y., where he held the title of high-performance squash coach. His time with BFC began in 2018 and while there he coached elite juniors with a focus on tournament competition at top tier U.S. junior tournaments.

He also participated as a guest coach at the Cornell squash camps in August 2021, and he was a head coach at the Pinnacle Squash camps hosted by Yale in 2018 and 2019. At both camps, Malhotra organized fitness sessions, conducted private training sessions and discussed strategy with top-level juniors from around the country.

Malhotra was an assistant coach at Trinity College from 2013 to 2018. During his tenure, he coached the men’s team to Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) national titles in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2018. Under Malhotra, the women’s team won a CSA national title in 2014 and had an individual national champion in 2016.

He boasts an impressive professional resume as well, competing independently and as a member of the Indian National Team. Malhotra has competed in professional events all over the world and has compiled 12 professional wins, most recently winning the 2020 Oregon Open. His experience with the national team dates back to 2008. He represented India as their No. 1 player at the junior level and has competed in world championships at the top-level.

Malhotra graduated from Trinity College in 2013 with a degree in Religion and received a master’s in Public Policy from Trinity in 2016. He was a four-year member of the squash team while at Trinity and was First Team All-American all four years. He won CSA national titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and was a captain his senior year.
