On Thursday February 12th, 2026, J.B. Weber was promoted to Executive Associate Athletics Director for Business Strategy and Operations.Â
In his new role, Weber is responsible for the oversight of Capital Projects, Event Operations, Facilities and the Business and Finance Office. He also remains the Director of Dartmouth’s Physical Education and Recreation programs. Weber serves as the sport administrator the Women’s Equestrian program, the Men’s and Women’s Skiing Programs, and the Men’s and Women’s Squash Programs.Â
Weber is active in sport governance at the conference and national level. He serves as the administrative liaison for the Ivy League Squash Coaches Committee. He also serves on the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Administrators Council and serves on both the NCEA Scheduling and Championship Selection Committee and the NCEA Enforcement, Ethics and Education Committee.Â
In Physical Education and Recreation, Weber is an active physical education instructor of golf and alpine skiing. He is a PISA certified alpine ski instructor and teaches every winter in the Dartmouth PE Snowsports School at Dartmouth Skiway. An avid golfer, he is also the director of Dartmouth’s physical education and recreational golf programming including teaching all PE golf classes, running all recreational golf play and tournaments and serving as the sport administrator for the club golf team. He oversees all 37 sports clubs and serves directly as the sport administrator for the Dartmouth Rugby Football Club and the Dartmouth Figure Skating Club. Â
J.B. Weber joined Dartmouth Athletics as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Physical Education and Recreation in July 2023 and took on the role of Senior Associate Athletics Director for Regulatory Affairs and Recreation in February 2024.     Â
In his prior role leading Regulatory Affairs, Weber was the senior compliance administrator and was responsible for oversight of all compliance systems and operations. He was also the liaison to the Ivy League Office and the NCAA National Office for compliance, governance and regulatory affairs.Â
Weber came to Upper Valley after spending six and a half years at the College of Charleston where he began as the assistant director of academic services in January 2017. He transitioned into the role of director of compliance later that year before earning a promotion to assistant athletics director for compliance prior to the 2019-20 academic year. Weber was then elevated to senior associate athletics director for compliance. Â

As the senior compliance administrator at the College of Charleston, Weber oversaw all areas of NCAA, Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and institutional compliance for Charleston's 19 varsity teams. He served on the senior leadership team and the athletic director's senior executive team. As the College of Charleston's Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID), Weber was responsible for all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming and initiatives in the department, plus oversaw the athletics business office. He also served as the sport supervisor for seven sports. He served on multiple committees at the conference level — the CAA Family/DEI Executive Committee and the CAA Senior Compliance Administrators Committee.Â

Prior to his time with the Cougars, Weber spent nearly three years in the academic services and compliance office at Virginia Military Institute. He began as the assistant athletics director for academic services and compliance in August 2014 before being promoted to associate athletics director a year and a half later. He was responsible for the oversight of all academic service programs, cadet-athlete services and NCAA compliance systems and operations. He also served on the athletics director's senior leadership team and was the sport administrator for six sports.Â

For seven years, beginning in July of 2007, Weber was on staff at The Citadel where he began as the graduate assistant football coach. After two years, Weber became the director of the Corps Squad Program, The Citadels' athletic academic support service with responsibilities that included directing a comprehensive academic support services program for cadet-athletes while serving as the liaison between the academic support center and The Citadel athletic department. He then moved into compliance as the assistant athletics director for compliance and student-athlete development. Weber was responsible for managing all NCAA compliance systems and operations and advising cadet-athletes and academic support advisors on academic eligibility.Â

Weber's coaching and recreation experience also includes a one-year stint as the linebackers coach at Franklin & Marshall and numerous years at the high school and youth levels in golf, alpine skiing, football and basketball. He was a head high school football coach at James Island Christian School for 4 years and coached youth Alpine Skiing for almost a decade at Stratton Mountain and Bromley Outing Club in southern Vermont. He also has served as a caddie in several USGA championships and served as interim assistant golf coach for the College of Charleston’s 2021 conference championship team. He was also a high school football and basketball referee in the South Carolina High School League for four years.Â

A former Division III football athlete, Weber is a 2006 Cum Laude graduate of Franklin & Marshall with a bachelor's degree in history. He went on to earn his master's in history with distinction from The Citadel and College of Charleston in 2012.Â
