Senior (2011-12): Participated in the Ivy League Championships ... 21st place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.17 ... Took 18th in the 100 fly with a time of 56.41 ... Third place in the 100 fly against UNH (59.32) ... Swam on the 200 medley relay that took runner up honors against Vermont ... Took third in the 200 fly in the home opener against Brown (2:07.23).
Junior (2010-11): Swam on the 200-free relay at the Ivy League Championships that placed seventh with a time of 1:34.72, the third best time in school history ... Finished in fourth in the 100 fly against Columbia with a time of 58.98 ... Member of the 200 medley relay that took first place with a time of 1:50.00 against Northeastern and Rhode Island .. .Also took second place in the 100 fly with a time of 58.61 ... Runner up honors in the 100 fly (58.27) at the Dartmouth Invitational ... Third place in the 100 fly vs. Vermont (59.28).
Sophomore (2009-10): Tallied three first place individual finishes and four first place relay finishes at various meets, in events such as the 100 and 200 butterfly, as well as both freestyle and medley relays ... Had a successful meet at UVM where she placed first in the 100 butterfly and helped the 400 freestyle relay team to a first place finish ... Had a number of second and third place finishes throughout the season in individual events.
Freshman (2008-09): Took first in the 100 butterfly at the Boston College meet with Rhode Island/Maine and was a part of the first place 200 medley relay and second place freestyle relay teams ... Also finished second in the 100 butterfly at Harvard with Cornell, against Penn/Yale, and at Boston University.
Before Dartmouth: Four-year letterwinner at Ithaca High School ... Team captain as a junior. A sprinter, she was a five-time All-American, earning the award in the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay in 2006-07, followed by All-America honors in 2007-08 in the 100 fly, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay. ... New York State champion, setting records in the 400 Free Relay in 2006-07 and 2007-08 ... Ithaca High School has not lost a duel meet since 1997, winning four consecutive the state championships during Nicholson's career ... Member of the National Honor Society, Yearbook and Key Club ... Earned the Williams College Book Award given for intellectual readership and significant extra-curricular contributions to the school community ...
