2005-2006: Had the best performance by a Dartmouth swimmer at the Ivy championship since 1997, setting a school record (55.59) and finishing second in the 100 butterfly to earn second team All-Ivy honors. Also set a school record in the 100 freestyle (51.52), winning consolations at Ivy Championships… Member of the school record-setting 200 (1.36.16) and 400 freestyle (3.30.38) relays…Recipient of the team’s Lutkus Award for academic excellence…Nominated for the 1948 Scholar-Athlete Award winner given by the athletic department for excellence in athletics and in the classroom…Elected as Co-Captain for the 2006-2007 season by her teammates. 2004-2005: Member of the 200 freestyle (1.36.40) and 400 freestyle (3.30.42) relays which set new school records at Ivy Championships.
2003-2004: Recipient of the Coaches’ Award…. Set new school records in the 100 butterfly (56.53), the 200 freestyle relay (1.37.17), the 400 freestyle relay (3.30.62) and 800 freestyle relay (7:37.90)… Member of the Dartmouth All-Time Top Ten in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle.
Personal: Daughter of Rob and Mary Alice Rippe of Colleyville, TX… Younger sister, Carolyn ’10 also swims at Dartmouth… Graduate of Colleyville Heritage High School where she was a 10-Time All-American and Co-Captain of the Swim Team…Also swam for club team, Grapevine-Colleyville Aquatics Team under coaches Pete Salvan and Patrick Henry… Majoring in Psychological & Brain Sciences and minoring in Human Development & Education and Art History…Spent Spring ’05 in Rome for the Art History Foreign Study Program.
