Jennie Cunningham

Cunningham joins the staff as a student assistant in 2017 after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in engineering last June. She is currently enrolled at the Thayer School, working toward a degree in environmental engineering.
A co-captain on the cross country team as a senior in 2016, Cunningham was also a member of SAAC, the Female Athletes of Dartmouth and the Hill Winds Society.
She will be assisting head coach Courtney Jaworski.
Before Dartmouth: Attended Pine Crest High School in Southern Pines, N.C. where she ran four seasons of cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field…Served as the captain in all three seasons as a sophomore, junior and senior…Helped lead her team to a 4A East Regional Cross Country Championship in 2011…Was a three-time NCHSAA 4A State Champion in the 1000M from 2011-13…Won an 800m title at the 2011 New Balance Indoor Nations, setting a school record in the process…As a junior and senior was named the cross country conference runner of the year, while earning the regional runner of the year honor during her senior track season…Was named her team's Most Valuable Runner in both cross country and track as a sophomore, junior and senior.
Personal: Daughter of Bruce Cunningham and Ann Petersen…Has one sister…Was her high school's student body president as a senior and treasurer as a junior…Plans to major in engineering and economics.
