The Big Green are spreading holiday cheer around the world and at home. The men's basketball team traveled to Belfast, Ireland to play in the Belfast Classic. Sophomore Chris Knight extended his team leading scoring average with 18.0 points a game during the tournament.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.

Chris Knight, So., Madison, Wis., F, Men's Basketball

Sophomore Chris Knight averaged 18.0 points and 7.5 rebounds at the Belfast Classic in Northern Ireland last week, and was named to the Samson Division All-Tournament Team in the process. He first led Dartmouth in both scoring (16 points) and rebounding (seven) in a loss to Marist, then poured in a career-high 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a 3-pointer, and 5-of-6 foul shots while grabbing eight boards in a 91-77 victory over Albany. The forward leads the team with averages of 14.6 points and 7.0 rebounds, as well as 11 blocked shots, on the season.
