It's a long way from the Golden Coast to the East Coast but two Big Green athletes are making their home state proud by excelling on the court and the track for Dartmouth. Sophomore Donovan Spearman earned points for the men's track team by winning two events in Leverone field house last weekend. On the basketball court, senior Ice Quinones had an outstanding game, leading the Dartmouth women to a 59-46 win over Fairfield.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.

Donovan Spearman, So., Gardena, Calif., Sprints, Track and Field
The sophomore sprinter had a great day at Dartmouth's home-opening meet of the 2018-19 indoor season on Saturday inside Leverone Field House. Spearman was a two-event winner, taking home the top spot in the 60m in 6.90 in the final after posting a 6.92 in the prelims as the top qualifier. He would also go on to capture the top spot in the 200m, crossing the line in 22.24. Spearman opened the season the week before by taking second in the 60m at BU, but running a season-best 6.89, demonstrating that he's already off to a strong start in his second indoor campaign.
