Dartmouth Men's Golf Fifth at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. -- Dartmouth freshman Jamie Wallace fired 74-76--150 to finish in a tie for sixth place at the annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association championship on Monday and Tuesday.

Wallace's total left him five shots out of first place. Patrick Fillian of Sacred Heart (73-72) defeated Ben Spitz of Rhode Island (71-74) in a playoff.

As a team, the Big Green was fifth among the 46 schools entered. Dartmouth's 36-hole total was 623. With 606, Connecticut posted a four-shot victory over Bryant and Rhode Island.

Also scoring for the Big Green were junior Chaki Kobayashi, 77-78--155; junior Kenan Yount, 78-79--157; sophomore Matt Uretsky, 84-79--163; and sophomore Steve Reyes, 82-86--168.
