CRANSTON, R.I. -- The Dartmouth men's golf team matched Brown on the second day of competition Sunday, but couldn't overcome a first-round deficit of eight shots.

Playing at Cranston Country Club, the Bears posted a 36-hole score of 615, while the Big Green combined for 623. Both teams shot 303 the second day.

Junior Hasaaki Kobayashi and freshman Jamie Wallace each fired 80-75--155. Brown golfers Aaron Telch and Robert Chen took low honors with 154.
