HUNTLEY, Ill. -- Dartmouth sophomore Annie Daher used a hole-in-one to propel herself to fourth place at the Huskie Classic that concluded Monday.
The Big Green women's golf team grabbed fourth place in the 10-team event held at Whisper Creek and hosted by Northern Illinois.
Against the wind, Daher used a four iron to ace the 150 yard eighth hole. Ironically, her hole-in-one came virtually two years to the day after Dartmouth's Shannon Rogers, who graduated in June, aced the same hole.
Daher shot 82-78--160, and finished three shots out of the lead. Hillery Wilson of Cincinnati and Lisa Bailey of Northern Illinois tied for low scoring honors with 157.
Northern Illinois won with 646, following by Cincinnati with 669, Eastern Illinois at 679 and Dartmouth at 682.
For Dartmouth, freshman Libby Wegener was tied for 16th with 88-84--172, and freshman Elizabeth Dupuy was tied for 20th with 86-89--175.
Sophomore Hayley Stevens shot 89-87--176, while sophomore Ann Kapusta recovered from a disastrous 103 on the opening day with an 88 for 191.
Dartmouth next competes at the Yale Invitational on Oct. 16-17.
