HANOVER, N.H. -- Three Dartmouth lacrosse players -- senior Ben Grinnell, senior Katieanne Christian and junior Devon Wills -- are on this year's preseason Tewaaraton Watch List.
The Tewaaraton Trophy is awarded each year to the top male and female varsity lacrosse players, as chosen by a selection committee made up of college coaches.
Grinnell (Waccabuc, N.Y.) is one of 37 men under consideration. A tri-captain of this year's Big Green, the midfielder was voted first team All-Ivy as a sophomore and junior and was the New England Division I rookie of the year in 2002. He enters the 2005 season with 62 goals and 37 assists for 99 points.
Christian (Agawam, Mass.) was a second team All-Ivy honoree in 2004 after scoring 27 goals and seven assists for 34 points. A member of the U.S. Developmental team, the midfielder is a three-year letterwinner for Dartmouth.

A total of 32 women are under consideration. Both lists will be reduced to five men and five women as the season progresses.
On Thursday, June 2, the winners will be announced at the fifth annual Tewaaraton award ceremony in Washington, D.C.
The Dartmouth men have a preseason scrimmage on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Massachusetts, while the Big Green women take on Notre Dame in a scrimmage at 1 p.m. Both games are on Dartmouth's Scully-Fahey Field.
