Dartmouth Men's Swimming Falls at Colgate
HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team lost a narrow decision at Colgate Friday night, falling by a score of 126.5 to 114.5.
Big Green sophomore
Kevin Ellis (Centennial, Colo.) was a double winner, taking a five-second victory in the 200 freestyle with his time of 1:43.83, and following that up by clocking 48.02 in the 50 free.
Dartmouth's other individual wins came in the 1000 freestyle where freshman
Cary Stathopoulos (New York, N.Y.) swam 10:26.91; the 200 backstroke where junior
Gordon Russell (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) posted 1:58.19; and the 500 free where sophomore
Alex Fidel (Phoenix, Ariz.) went 5:02.49.
In one-meter diving, junior Andrew Berry (Middleton, Wis.) won his third straight meet with 256.45.
With a 1-3 overall record, Dartmouth is back in action on Saturday, November 11, traveling to Cornell for a meet that includes Harvard.
