The Dartmouth women's tennis team kicked off its spring season with a resounding 7-0 win tonight over Long Island University at the Alexis Boss Tennis Center and Alan Gordon Pavilion. The Big Green swept the doubles point, and then came out strong in singles. Junor
Megan Zebroski was the first singles player off the court, sweeping Merve Koskal, 6-0, 6-0. Freshman
Jesse Adler quickly followed, winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Sophomore
Jamie Caplan also won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles, followed by senior co-captain
Lindsay Winingham, who won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Freshman
Mary Beth Winingham recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles and at No. 4 singles, senior co-captain
Kerry Snow bested the reigning Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, Ashley Harvey, 6-3, 6-2.
The Big Green returns to action next Saturday, Jan. 27, when it hosts Boston College at 1 p.m.
