Flushing, N.Y.- After its big win over Cornell on day one, the Dartmouth men's tennis team fell to #1 seeded Penn State and defending champs Penn at the ECAC Tournament at the USTA National Tennis Center.
On Saturday, the Big Green fell to Penn State, 7-0. Sophomore
Justin Tzou was Dartmouth's only set-winner as he battled Brendan Lynch to a 6-2, 5-7 (8) score, losing in the tiebreaker.
Sunday's match-up with Ivy foe Penn was certainly more spirited for the Big Green despite the 5-2 loss. The squads played an exciting doubles set with the Quakers earning the critical point. Sophomore
Daniel Freeman and classmate Tzou were victorious at second and third singles, respectively.
Dartmouth falls to 1-2 on the season and heads to the ITA Regional Tournament at Princeton on Oct. 18.
