BREWSTER, Mass. - The Dartmouth men's golf team took fifth place at the 73rd annual NEIGA Championship that concluded Tuesday.
The Big Green combined for a 36-hole score of 620, while Rhode Island won its 10th team title in 11 years with 600. More than 40 Division I, II and III schools competed at The Captains Golf Course and its 36-hole layout on Cape Cod.
Senior captain
Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) was Dartmouth's low finisher with 75-77-152, tied for 15th. Brian Cawley of Salem State won medalist honors by three shots with 70-74-144.
Rounding out the Big Green's five-man lineup were junior
Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.), 77-77-154; sophomore
Dan Egan (Rye, N.Y.), 84-74-158; freshman
Davis Mullany (Great Barrington, Mass.), 78-83-161; and sophomore
Dave Putney (Unionville, Conn.), 82-80-162.
The tournament concluded the fall season for Dartmouth men's golf.
