HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's squash team played its first match of the season on its home courts, dropping at 6-3 match to Harvard before rebounding against Tufts with a 7-2 win.
"Despite losing to Harvard it was probably the closest we've played them in a long time," said head coach John Power. "It was good to rebound with a win over Tufts."
The three Big Green wins against the Crimson were at No. 6, No. 7 and No. 9. Daniel Wagman won his match at No. 6, 9-0, 9-7 and 9-3 while No. 7 was won by Tyler Young (9-2, 2-9, 9-5 and 9-6). The No. 9 spot was won by Ted Schroeder, 9-0, 9-6 and 9-6.
In the second match Dartmouth handed Tufts a 7-2 win as the Big Green won at all spots from No. 1 to No. 7. Wagman and Schroeder were both winners. While the others were Andrew Boumford at No. 1, Ted Newhouse at No. 2, Michael Shrubb at No. 3, Michael Lewis at No. 4 and Stephen Preefer at No. 6.
