HANOVER, N.H. - Senior captain Liz Mancuso (Andover, Mass.) placed in all of her six events to lead the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team at the UNLV Invitational.
The Big Green finsihed in seventh place out of 13 teams with a team score of 197, while UNLV took the top spot, earning 849 points.
Along with placing in all of her events, Mancuso led Dartmouth with the fourth fastest time in school history in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.85.
The Big Green were also impressive in the relay events. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of junior Hillary Preston (Medina, Wash.), freshman Maddie Steiner (Dallas, Texas), junior Heather Jankins (Raynham, Mass.) and Mancuso swam the fourth fastest time in Dartmouth history with a time of 1:36.92, which was good for sixth place.
The team of freshman Anna Sonstegard (Sioux Falls, N.D.), Mancuso, Steiner and Jankins once again placed sixth, this time in the 800-yard freestyle relay and its was the fourth fastest in Dartmouth history with a time of 7:44.63. The 400-yard freestyle was no different as Mancuso, Jankins, Steiner and Preston placed seventh with another all-time finish. They swam a time of 3:32.43 for the sixth fastest time in Dartmouth history.
On the diving side, senior Julianne Mifflin (Greenwich, Conn.) had a good showing with a third place finish in the 1-meter dive and a sixth place finish in the 3-meter dive. She earned her third place finish with a score of 208.30 and posted a 191.05 score in the 3-meter dive.
Dartmouth will be off for the holidays and will be traveling to Ireland for the Big Green's annual training trip from December 27 to January 5. The Dartmouth women travel to Vermont on January 9, beginning at 6 p.m., before returning home to face Boston University on January 12 at 1 p.m. at Karl Michael Pool.
