Dartmouth Men's Golf Seventh at Northeast Invitational
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - Sophomore
Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.) had the low finish for the Dartmouth men's golf team in the final tournament of the season.
Competing at the Northeast Invitational at Green Valley C.C., Henley tied for 13th with rounds of 38-75-113. The first day of action Friday was reduced to nine holes.
As a team, Dartmouth scored 461, good for seventh place in the 11-team field. The host University of Rhode Island squad won with 446, three shots better than Sacred Heart.
Also competing for the Big Green were freshman
Dan Egan (Rye, N.Y.), tied for 18th with 39-75-114; freshman
Dave Putney (Unionville, Conn.), tied for 21st with 40-75-115; freshman
Shunsuke Aonuma (Honolulu, Hawaii), tied for 40th with 39-80-119; and junior
John Mitchell (Wilbraham, Mass.), tied for 47th with 41-81-122.
