WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Dartmouth men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up competition Saturday at the Williams Invitational.
The Big Green men, resting some top runners, scored 68 points for third place in the 10-school field. Williams won the meet with 52 points, while Amherst was second.
Dartmouth's top runner was junior Pat Dooley (Durham, Conn.) who was third with a time of 25:37 on the 8K course at Mount Greylock High School. Also in the top ten was sophomore Chris Zablocki (Essex, Conn.), whose time of 26:02 was good for seventh.
Meanwhile, the Dartmouth women split the squad, also competing at the Iona Meet of Champions. At Williams, senior Susan Dunklee (Barton, Vt.) was the first Big Green runner across the finish line, clocking 23:00 for 11th place.
Dartmouth earned 169 points for fifth place among eight teams.
Both Big Green teams compete on Saturday, September 29 at Maine's Keatinge Invitational.
