ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Dartmouth men's cross country team opened its season by placing second overall at the Friar Invitational hosted by Providence College on Friday.
It was a solid opener for both the men and women at the Friar invite. Mia and Ashton did a great job of leading us. It was a great opportunity to see the course that will host the Ivy League championships in 2026, Nelson said. Our next meet will be the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invite at home on Sept. 20. We look forward to a great race in front of friends, family and alumni! Go Big Green!
Ashton Bange (Corning, N.Y./Corning-Painted Post) led the way for the Big Green, placing sixth overall with a time of 18:31.4. Noe Kemper finished in seventh place, around seven seconds after Bange.
Max Miller crossed third for Dartmouth, finishing 11th overall with a time of 18:47.1. Connor Foley had the fourth finish, placing 15th overall. Baker Pashea wrapped up the Big Green's scoring by placing 20th. Erik Sankey and David Jiang also competed for Dartmouth.
The Big Green will return home on Saturday, Sept. 20, when they host the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational.
