HANOVER, N.H. ? The Dartmouth field hockey team scored two minutes into the game and held on for a 3-2 win over Penn for the Big Green's second-consecutive Ivy League victory.
For Dartmouth (2-6, 2-1 Ivy), sophomore Virginia Peisch
(Koenigstein, Germany) posted her second career goal and added an assist in the

For Penn (2-8, 1-2 Ivy), Margaretha Ehret scored the lone goal for the Quakers and goaltender Alanna Butera was impressive in net with 11 saves, including eight in the first half.
The constant play of the Big Green paid off two minutes into
the game as Alderman tallied her first collegiate to give
Peisch increased the lead to 2-0 with six minutes remaining in
the first half. She has now tallied at least one point in four-straight games.

In the second half it was more of the same for the Big
Green. Pressure up front led to another goal, this time from Hines. It came on
the Big Green's 10th penalty corner of the game. Hood got the stick-stop from
senior co-captain Kristen McCormick (
Penn got on the board with two goals in the final ten minutes. The final goal came with six seconds remaining, so it was a little too late for the Quakers.
Freshman goaltender Meagan Vakiener (Port Murray, N.J.) was tested in spots during the game and finished with eight saves.
