? The Dartmouth equestrian team finished in fourth place this weekend out of
ten teams at the University of New
Hampshire horse show. Senior Katherine Scovner (Manchester
Center, Vt.) and junior Alaina
Smith (Spokane, Wash.)
both qualified for regionals after top-three finishes in their events.
Senior Kate Wooler (Rehoboth,
Mass.) took first place in the Open Flat,
while freshman Susanna Kurnick took the top spot in the Walk-Trot-Canter. Dartmouth
had another first place finish by junior Amanda Watson (Charlottesville,
Va.), who won the Intermediate Fences, in
which senior Lily Macartney took third.
Watson also had a third-place finish in the Intermediate
Flat, tied with Scovner, as senior Karelle Hall (Shaker Heights, Ohio) took
second in the event.
Captain Daisy Freund (New York,
N.Y.) led the Big Green in the Open Fences
with a second-place finish, followed by freshman Danielle Stacy in third. Smith
rounded out the Big Green's second-place finishes in the Novice Flat, while Lucretia
Witte placed third in the Walk-Trot.
