PROVIDENCE,
R.I.. ? Behind a final round
one-under par 71 from freshman Davis Mullany (Great Barrington, Mass.), the
Dartmouth men's golf team finished in the fifth spot at the Division I New
England Championship at Triggs Golf Club.
Yale took the top spot with a 36-hole combined total of 583.
The Big Green concluded its championship with two-day score of 306-300-606.
Mullany was Dartmouth's
low scorer for the championship as he shot 73-71-144 for even par for the
tournament, which was good for fourth place and just four shots off of Yale's Colby
Moore who won the individual championship.
Also for Dartmouth, senior
Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) was second on the Big Green with a
two-day total of 147. He shot a 75 on Saturday and followed that with an even
par 72 on Sunday and finished tied for eighth.
Sophomore Dan Egan (Rye, N.Y.) ended the championship tie for 27th with 79-77-156,
while junior Rob Henley (Longmeadow,
Mass.) fired a 79-82-161 and freshman
Ryan Choi finished with 84-80-164.
Dartmouth will be back in action next weekend as the Big Green heads to the Ivy Championship, beginning on Saturday, April 19.
