Men's Golf Competes in Round One of Yale Spring Opener

NEW HAVEN, Conn. ? The Dartmouth men's golf team finished round one of the Yale Spring Opener as 25 schools competed at the Yale University Golf Course on Saturday.

The Big Green completed the 18-hole first round with a combined score of 306, which puts Dartmouth in the 20th position going into the final round of competition. Drexel University, Temple University and Cornell are tied atop the leader board with a score of 294.

Dartmouth senior Jamie Wallace (Moorestown, N.J.) was the Big Green's top finisher for the day with a 3-over 73, which is tied for 15th place and five strokes off the lead.

Just two strokes behind Wallace was sophomore Davis Mullany (Great Barrington, Mass.) who fired a 5-over 75, while junior Rob Henley (Longmeadow, Mass.), junior Dave Putney (Unionville, Conn.) and sophomore Dan Egan (Rye, N.Y.) all scored a 9-over 79.
