FAIRFIELD, Conn. (May 5, 2008) - Dartmouth College junior Brian Koch (Rye, N.Y. / Rye H.S.) was named this week's Turfer Athletic New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division I Player of the Week. Koch scored four goals as the Big Green ended their season with a 12-6 win over Harvard. The Big Green finished with a 7-7 overall record, 3-3 in the Ivy League.
Earlier this season, for the first time in 28 games, Koch was held scoreless against Virginia, April 19. His scoring streak began on May 2, 2006 with three goals and two assists against Holy Cross. He then scored in every game for a total of 28 straight. During that time he had 58 goals and 36 assists for 94 points.
Koch was Dartmouth's second leading scorer this spring with 27 goals and 16 assists. The 6-0 junior is 15th on the all time career points list at Dartmouth with 120, tied for 20th with 43 assists and tied for 17th with 77 goals.
Koch was named to the Ivy Honor Roll four times this season
Brian is a graduate of Rye High School and is the son of Steven and Betsy Koch.
