Northeastern (2-2) got a big game from Carolyn Mallory as she posted two goals, both in the second half, and an assist to lead the Huskies. Northeastern spread out its offense with four different goal scorers.
The Big Green (0-2) looked impressive out of the gate,
holding a 4-3 advantage in penalty corners in the first half and outshooting
the Huskies 10-5.
Northeastern struck first early as the Huskies took one of their three first half corners and started an unusual corner play. Instead of firing the ball to the top of the crease, Meg Sweeney shuffled the ball to her closest teammate in Kaela Barker and she connected with Annie Clayman on a tip in for the 1-0 lead.
