Game 10: #17 Dartmouth vs. Yale
Date: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, 4:30 PM
Location: Reese Stadium, New Haven, Conn.
Series Record: Yale, leads 37-29-6
Yale holds the all-time advantage in the series but Dartmouth is
undefeated against the Bulldogs since 2004, going 4-0-1, including an overtime
win in 2006 and a double-overtime tie in 2007. The Big Green has also not given
up a goal to the Bulldogs since 2003, when Yale took a 1-0 win in New Haven.
The series dates back to Oct. 18, 1924, a 3-0 Yale victory. Yale racked up many
of its series wins early, winning the first 11 meetings before a 1-1 tie in
1940 and a 5-2 Green win in the next meeting, 1943.

Livestats
This Time Out: Dartmouth plays its first Ivy League road game at Yale (3-4-2, 0-1 Ivy) and is riding a two game winning streak into the big conference showdown. The Big Green comes in off two convincing wins over Vermont, 3-1, and Princeton, 4-2 at Burnham Field last week. The Bulldogs are fresh off a 2-1 win over ACC foe Boston College and a tough 1-0 double overtime loss to Harvard.
Last Time Out: Daniel Keat (Wellington, New Zealand) tallied a goal and two assists as Dartmouth defeated Vermont, 3-1, on Sept. 30. The Big Green dominated the Catamounts, outshooting them 23-4. Keat, who leads the Big Green with 18 points (seven goals, four assists), was joined in the scoring column by Craig Henderson (Wellington, New Zealand) and Lucky Mkosana (Bulwayo, Zimbabwe). Dartmouth followed that up with a 4-2 win over Princeton in its Ivy opener, playing in a downpour at Burnham on Oct. 3. Henderson and Mkosana each tallied a goal and an assist, while Andrew Olsen (Norwell, Mass.) scored his second of the year and Teo Larsson-Sax (Kalmar, Sweden) provided the game-winner with his first collegiate goal.
Where We Rank: Dartmouth is back in the NSCAA Coaches top-25, ranking 24th in the nation this week and College Soccer News has the Big Green topping out at 17th.
Player of the Week: Senior Craig Henderson (Wellington, New Zealand) earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors after leading Dartmouth to its wins over Vermont and Princeton. Henderson helped Dartmouth snap a two-game skid with a six-point week, tallying a goal and an assist in each game. The senior co-captain ranks second on the Dartmouth squad with 12 points on four goals and four assists.
Next Time Out: Dartmouth stays on the road for two more away games. Penn and South Florida are on the docket as well before returning home to face Columbia on Oct. 24. The South Florida game should prove a critical non-league showdown as the Bulls are currently ranked as high as fifth in the nation.
