HANOVER, N.H. - After earning his first collegiate victory over Holy Cross last Tuesday, freshman goaltender Fergus Campbell (New Canaan, Conn.) was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the first time.
In a 1-1 week for the Big Green, Campbell won his second career start, beating Holy Cross by the score of 10-9. He made 13 saves in the victory and scooped up three ground balls. He followed that up with a career-high 17 stops against No. 10 Duke on Saturday in a 12-6 loss to the Blue Devils. In his three starts he has 40 saves and a 1-2 record. Campbell leads the team in save percentage at .533 as he is the third goaltender to start a game for the Big Green.
Senior captain Tim Daniels (Duxbury, Mass.) earned honor roll recognition after leading the way for the Big Green last week with three goals and two assists for five points. He tallied all five points in the 10-9 win over Holy Cross last Tuesday. Daniels got Dartmouth possession on 23-of-38 face-offs, including 16 wins against Holy Cross. In addition, he picked up a team-high 15 ground balls with 11 coming against Duke. Daniels is currently third on the team in points with 13 on seven goals and a team-high six assists. He is also tops with 36 ground balls.
Dartmouth is back in action this coming weekend as the Big Green heads south to face Penn on Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m.
