Nick Santomauro '10 has decided to sign with the New York Mets after being drafted by the baseball club in the 10th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Santomauro, the 314th overall draft pick, will begin his professional career with the Brooklyn Cyclones, an affiliate of the Mets, according to the Dartmouth Athletics web site.
The decision to forego his senior year and sign with the Mets was incredibly difficult, Santomauro said in an interview with The Dartmouth.
