Volleyball's Baird Named Second Team All-Ivy

HANOVER, N.H. — On Friday, the Ivy League announced its 2010 women's volleyball All-Ivy teams. For the Big Green, junior Madeline Baird (Austin, Texas) made the second team. The outside hitter finished the season with 359 kills and 341 digs.
Baird had a remarkable season and is becoming one of the best players to ever play volleyball at Dartmouth. She earned the Ivy Player of the Week Honor twice this season, and finished second in the conference in kills per set (3.74) and 10th in digs per set (3.55). Her 359 kills this season were the sixth-highest total in Dartmouth history.
For her career, she is seventh all time in career kills (923) at Dartmouth and is 16th in career digs (804). She received second-team honors last season and honorable-mention honors her freshman season.
