Using a five court system in which the even spots played first, Harvard jumped out to a 3-1 lead on Dartmouth. When the odd spots hit the courts, the Crimson ultimately grabbed control of the match, winning four of the five matches.
Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) in the No. 2 spot and co-captain Michael Lewis (Santa Barbara, Calif.) in the No. 5 spot notched the only victories for Dartmouth. In a five-game thriller at the No. 1 spot Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.), a first-team All-American, went down to the wire with Gary Power. Power was able to pull out the win 12-10, 9-11, 8-11, 11-2, 11-7 despite Hanson taking a two-game lead.
Dartmouth will be off until Jan. 8 when the Big Green plays host to Yale (11 a.m.) and Amherst (3 p.m.).
