HANOVER, N.H. — After wrapping up a stellar collegiate career, Dartmouth men's soccer senior
Daniel Keat (Wellington, New Zealand) has been invited to participate in the 2011 Major League Soccer Player Combine.
A total of 54 college seniors from 36 Division I schools have been chosen to attend the combine from Jan. 7-11 at Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The event precedes the 2011 MLS Superdraft which will take place on Jan. 13 in Baltimore, Md. during the NSCAA Convention.
Dartmouth has had a player invited to the MLS combine in each of the past three seasons, with
Craig Henderson '09 attending in 2010 and Sean Milligan '09 in 2009.
Keat had a stellar career at Dartmouth, coming to Hanover as a freshman in 2006 and finishing up his career this fall with his fourth All-Ivy honor and third selection to the first team. He was named to the first team All-Ivy and first team All-Northeast this fall after ranking second on the team in scoring with 13 points (four goals and five assists). Keat also earned NSCAA All-Northeast honors as a junior (first team) and freshman (third team). A two-time co-captain, Keat was named an NSCAA All-American in 2009.
The midfielder has inked his name on the Dartmouth record books as well, starting 58 of 64 career games played and ranking sixth all-time with 53 career points. His 20 goals and 13 assists each rank ninth.
