HANOVER, N.H. – Sophomore Priscilla Trojano (W. Bridgewater, Mass.) took first in the women's pentathlon with 3311 points to lead both the Dartmouth men's and women's multi-athletes at the Harvard Multi Meet.
Trajano was only able to win one event on the afternoon with a win in the 800-meter run at 2:26.33, but placed in the top five in three other events to capture the victory.
Junior Jessica Robson (Newport Beach, Calif.) finished fifth overall with 2960 points, while sophomore Alexandra Nee (Duxbury, Mass.) came in sixth with 2901 points.
On the men's side, the competition was a little tough to overcome for the Big Green as Olympic Gold Medalist Bryan Clay competed for Nike. He finished fourth in the heptathlon behind Maurice King (Puma), Aaron King (unattached) and Sean Smith (unattached).
Sophomore Robert Contuzzi (Northampton, Mass.) was second among collegiate performers and sixth overall with 4676 points, while teammate Brett Gilson (Richboro, Pa.) finished 10th overall with 4495 points. Both Contuzzi and Gilson bested Clay in the 100 meters with Gilson crossing the line at 2:55.81 and Contuzzi finishing up at 2:57.27. Clay came in just two seconds after Contuzzi. Gilson had a great effort in the pole vault as he placed second behind Smith at 4.15 meters (13-07.25).
