HANOVER, N.H. — On April 9, the Big Green played at 17th-ranked Yale, trying to bounce back from the loss at Cornell. The Bulldogs enforced their will for much of the game, and despite a late four-goal rally by Dartmouth, Yale won, 9-7. Junior Fergus Campbell (New Canaan, Conn.) played the best game for the Big Green, making 15 saves. It marked the fourth time this season he has recorded double-digit saves, and the third time he has had at least 15 saves.
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth
enters the game vs. 19th-ranked Delaware with a 4-5 record and is 1-2 in the Ivy
League. The Big Green have lost their last four games away from Scully-Fahey
Field, but in neutral-site contests, Dartmouth is 1-0 with a victory over
Mercer.
The Big Green have seven players who have recorded double-digit points through nine games. Junior captain Kip Dooley (Minneapolis, Minn.) leads the team with 22 points on nine goals and a team-high 13 assists. Sophomore Nikki Dysenchuk (Darien, Conn.) is second on the squad with 12 goals and seven assists for 19 points. Senior captain Rhett Miller (Dallas, Texas) is third with 13 goals and four assists for 17 points. Junior Drew Tunney (Greenwich, Conn.) is fourth on the team with 16 points on 12 goals and four assists. Freshman Jeff Perkins (Dallas, Texas) has 15 points on 12 goals and three assists. Junior John DeChiaro (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) has 12 points on five goals and seven assists. Sophomore Chris Costabile (Sykesville, Md.) rounds out the double-digit scorers with 11 points on nine goals and two assists.
Campbell has started all nine games at goalkeeper and has an 11.43 goals against average, a 4-5 record and a .503 save percentage. In 493:28 minutes, he has made 95 saves, including a game high 17 two different times.
The team is averaging 10.11 goals per game, while allowing 11.44. The Big Green take 36.8 shots per game and grab 29.22 ground balls per game. Dartmouth is 10-for-29 in man-up situations for a 34.5 percent conversion rate.

Big Green will be competing in the 2011 New England Lacrosse Classic at
Gillette Stadium on April 16. Dartmouth will take on Princeton, while Syracuse
will face Providence. The Big Green-Tigers game is set for 6:30 p.m., while the
Orange and Friars will play first at 4 p.m.

Delaware
enters the game against the Big Green with a 7-4 record overall and a 3-0 mark
in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Blue Hens have won
three out of four
games, but lost on Saturday at 11th-ranked Villanova, 10-4. Delaware
has played four ranked teams this season and is 1-3 in those contests. Its lone
win against a ranked team was at home against fourth-ranked Hofstra, 7-6.
Eric Smith leads the team in points with 30 on 16 goals and 14 assists. Grant Kaleikau is second with 22 points on eight goals and 14 assists. Sean Finegan is third with 14 goals and four assists for 18 points.
Noah Fossner has started all 11 games at goalkeeper for the Blue Hens. In 645:28 minutes, he has 107 saves, a 9.02 goals against average, a .525 save percentage and a 7-4 record.
Delaware averages 9.36 goals per game, while allowing 9.09. The Blue Hens take 36.1 shots per game and average 32.82 ground balls per game. In man-up situations, Delaware is 8-for-30 for a 26.7 percent conversion rate.
SERIES HISTORY
This
will mark the third meeting between the schools, but the first since 1990. The
teams first met on March 27, 1982 at Delaware with the Big Green leaving with
an 11-8 victory. On April 7, 1990, the schools met at Syracuse for a
neutral-site game, and the Blue Hens earned a 13-5 win.
