HANOVER, N.H. — On Wednesday, the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its All-New England Awards, and junior Kip Dooley (Minneapolis, Minn.) and senior Rhett Miller (Dallas, Texas) of the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team each earned honors.
Dooley made first team All-New England after a standout season in midfield for Dartmouth. He scored 14 goals and led all Big Green athletes with 19 assists. He also led Dartmouth in points with 33. The goals, assists and point totals were all career highs for Dooley, who finished fifth in the conference in assists per game at 1.36. He was the only Dartmouth player to record a point in every game this season, including a season high of five points (two goals and three assists) at Holy Cross on March 9. For his career, Dooley has played in 40 games, scored 36 goals and tallied 34 assists for 70 total points.
Miller earned second-team honors in his final season for the Big Green. The attacker was Dartmouth's second-leading scorer with 26 points on a team-best 21 goals and five assists. The goals, assists and point totals were all career highs and he recorded a goal in 12 of the 14 games he played. His best games came in the first and last game of the regular season. In each contest, he scored three goals and recorded an assist for four points. Miller finished his career with 50 games played, 44 goals, 11 assists and 55 points.
Tim Fallon of Hartford won New England Player of the Year, Dan Eipp of Harvard was the Rookie of the Year and Peter Lawrence of Hartford was Coach of the Year.
