HANOVER, N.H. — The Ivy League announced its men's lacrosse All-Ivy awards on Tuesday and the Big Green had three players earn honors. Junior goalkeeper Fergus Campbell (New Canaan, Conn.) made the second team, and junior captain Kip Dooley (Minneapolis, Minn.) and sophomore midfielder Nikki Dysenchuk (Darien, Conn.) were named honorable mention.
This is the second consecutive year that Campbell has made second team All-Ivy. He finished the season with 795:58 minutes played, 162 saves, a 10.93 goals against average, 67 ground balls and a .528 save percentage. Campbell ended the season with eight consecutive games with double-digit saves for a total of 109 saves in the eight contests. He is eighth in the nation in saves per game at 11.57.
He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on March 28, and was the NEILA Player of the Week on March 9. Three times this season he recorded 17 saves. Campbell has 375 saves in his career, which is 10 saves away from tying for 10th on the Big Green's all-time saves list.
Dooley was a standout for Dartmouth this season in the midfield. He scored 14 goals and led all Big Green athletes with 19 assists. He also led Dartmouth in points with 33. The goals, assists and point totals were all career highs. Dooley finished fifth in the conference in assists per game at 1.36. He was the only Dartmouth player to record a point in every game this season, including a season high of five points (two goals and three assists) at Holy Cross on March 9. For his career, Dooley has played in 40 games, scored 36 goals and tallied 34 assists for 70 total points.
In his second season, Dysenchuk played in 14 games, scored 18 goals and recorded eight assists for 26 points. The goals, assists and point totals were all career highs. He had a season-high four points in three games for the Big Green, and scored three goals on four different occasions. He had the game-winning goal in the final seconds against 17th-ranked Harvard on March 26. For his career, Dysenchuk has played in 27 games, scored 26 goals and tallied nine assists for 35 total points.
