NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Dartmouth women's tennis team returned to the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Yale's campus on Saturday for the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships. The Big Green went 2-2 in singles and 1-0 in doubles action.
Sophomore Taylor Ng went undefeated for the second day in a row, winning her second round match against Boston University's Iryna Kostirko, 6-0, 6-2. She then joined forces with freshman Alexxis Kiven to defeat Anastasia Polyakova and Irina Preotescu of St. John's with an 8-7 victory and 7-4 tiebreak.
Freshman Kristina Mathis also had a strong day, winning against Courtney Amons of Yale by a score of 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. Classmate Julia Schroeder was able to win her second set against Syracuse's Komal Sofdar, 6-1, but dropped the other two, 4-6, 6-3.
