Taylor Ng Goes Undefeated on Day One of All-American Champs

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Women's tennis sophomore Taylor Ng traveled to California for the 2014 Riviera/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women's All-American Championships, opening competition on Saturday morning at the Riviera Tennis Club. Ng wrapped up the first day of the Championships by going undefeated, winning both of her matches.
The tournament, which will run through Sunday, Oct. 5, features the best collegiate players in the country.
Ng opened the weekend with a 6-4, 7-6(6) victory over Rachel Kahan of Duke before knocking off #8 seed Aldila Sutjiadi of Kentucky by a score of 6-2, 7-5.
"It was a terrific performance today by Taylor," said head coach Bob Dallis. "She showed great poise and determination."
The sophomore will return to the courts tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
