PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Dartmouth women's tennis sophomore Taylor Ng remains undefeated at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American Championships after winning her match against Old Dominion's Borislava Botusharova on Sunday.
On the first day of action yesterday, Ng defeated players from Duke and Kentucky. Facing Botusharova, a player that has a Women's Tennis Association (WTA) professional ranking of 407, the following day, the Big Green sophomore won her match by a score of 6-2, 7-6(6).
“Overall, it was a very good match that showed a high level of tennis,” said head coach Bob Dallis. “Taylor has impressed everyone that has watched her with her determination, her competitiveness and her athleticism. Her composure as her opponent saved three match points was outstanding.”
With the victory, Ng will move on to the main qualifier of the Championships and will return to the courts on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
